Money-Back Guarantee
We offer a satisfaction guarantee for our educational programs, including private tutoring and small-group courses. If, within the initial 6 hours of instruction, a student is not satisfied with the program, they are eligible for a refund of the remaining balance of their purchased program. Should a student be enrolled in both private tutoring and a small-group course, any refund requests must be handled separately for each program. By requesting a refund, you also request removal of the student from the current program. We encourage open communication with our AltaFuga team to address any concerns and improve the student-tutor match.
Promotions & Discounts
School Discounts
Participating schools may qualify for exclusive discounts on our programs. These discounts are reserved for enrolled students and cannot be combined with other offers or redeemed for cash.
Discounts for School Staff & Military Personnel
Children of school staff and/or military members, upon providing appropriate documentation, may receive a 10% discount on private tutoring or small-group courses. This discount cannot be combined with other offers and holds no monetary value.
Program Policies
Private Tutoring Policies
Our private tutoring services cater to students requiring personalized instruction in standardized testing or academic subjects. Sessions are scheduled for a minimum of one hour and up to a maximum of six hours. Students have the option to purchase tutoring hours individually or in packages of various sizes. There are no minimum hour requirements or enrollment fees. Purchasing and scheduling are coordinated after consultation with AltaFuga faculty or representatives.
Scheduling for private tutoring sessions is arranged based on mutual agreement between the student, family, and faculty. Refunds for private tutoring hours, excluding those covered by the Money-Back Guarantee, are not available. Unused tutoring hours may be converted to store credit, transferrable within the same family or to another student.
Students are responsible for notifying their tutor of any session cancellations or modifications in advance. Failure to do so may result in full charges for the session. Tutors may end sessions 5 minutes early to prepare for the next student. Additionally, tutors may deduct hours for custom preparation work outside of sessions, with prior notice to the family.
Subjects covered in academic programs include standard elementary and middle school subjects, as well as select high school subjects.
Group Tutoring Policies
Our small-group courses for test preparation or academic programs have enrollment caps that may be adjusted by AltaFuga. Courses may be cancelled if minimum enrollment requirements are not met, with alternative arrangements provided to affected students.
Students may enroll in small-group courses until the start date, with cancellation or change requests accepted prior to the deadline, typically two weeks before the course begins. After this deadline, enrollments are final, and no refunds or changes are permitted.
Practice Exam Policies
Students are encouraged to take practice exams provided by tutors and other resources, with progress evaluated based on reported scores.
Refund Policies
Refunds are subject to the policies outlined in the specific product’s terms. Requests must be submitted in writing and will be processed within 7-10 business days if compliant with the product’s terms.
Session Recordings
Sessions are generally not recorded but can be upon student request for study purposes.
Non-solicitation Agreement
Customers agree not to solicit employment from AltaFuga staff during the term of service. Additional services may be requested through appropriate channels.
